Is there a free trial?

Yes. Fourteen days, no credit card, every core feature unlocked. You get 5 data sources, 50 analysis credits, and 15 minutes of compute - enough to connect something real and see the whole path from raw table to answered question. A sample dataset matched to your industry is pre-loaded, so you can start before connecting anything. Nothing is charged automatically when it ends, and nothing you built is deleted.

What is an analysis credit, and what uses them?

Analysis credits are the single currency behind every AI feature, not AskEdi alone. One credit is consumed by an AskEdi analysis, by generating AI column metadata in Integrate, by an AI transform suggestion, by an AI chart suggestion, and by a dashboard Summarise. They all draw from the same monthly pool. Credits are only consumed when the AI returns something usable - failed calls, unparseable responses, and out-of-scope questions are never charged.

What happens when I run out of credits or compute?

Work stops until the next monthly reset, or you buy an add-on pack. There are no overage fees and no surprise bills - the platform stops rather than silently billing you for more. Add-on packs never expire, and your monthly allowance is always spent before a purchased pack is touched, so nothing you paid for drains while free credits sit unused.

How does pricing work for a team?

Team plans are priced per creator - the people who build integrations, pipelines, and dashboards. Buying your first creator licence also grants a fixed number of Viewer + AskEdi seats at no cost: 5 on Launch, 10 on Scale, 15 on Pinnacle. Those seats let people read dashboards and ask their own questions without building anything. The grant comes with that first licence; additional viewer seats beyond it are $15/user/month. Analysis credits and compute scale with each creator licence and pool across the whole workspace.

Do I need a data team to run this?

Accepted Answer

No. Connecting a source is picking a connector and entering credentials. Cleaning is point-and-click - 25 operations, no SQL. Dashboards are described in plain English and approved before they are built. The people who normally wait on a data team are the ones this is built for. Someone comfortable with your data will get more out of the first setup, but nothing here requires an engineer.

Why is this cheaper than the tools it replaces?

Cost is only half of it. It is one platform where each stage feeds the next, so there is no pipeline vendor billing you per row moved, no transformation tool that expects SQL, no BI licence for every person who reads a number, and no AI layer bolted on top that cannot see how any of it was built. The larger saving is governance: one definition of a metric, one set of permissions, one audit trail - instead of keeping four platforms in agreement about what revenue means and who is allowed to see it. Price the four jobs against whatever you run today; the comparison is the argument.

What is the difference between Individual and Team plans?

Individual plans are single-user: one person builds and reads everything. Team plans add workspace sharing, admin roles and permissions, internal dashboard sharing, free Viewer + AskEdi seats, and pooled credits any seat can draw from. Both include all four modules. Individual runs $49 to $119 per month; Team runs $89 to $179 per creator per month.

How is billing handled?

All plans are billed annually. Team Launch is $89 per creator per month, charged as $1,068 per creator per year. The same applies in rupees at ₹7,499 per month. Prices shown per month are the annual rate divided by twelve, not a separate monthly option.

Can I upgrade, downgrade, or cancel?

Accepted Answer

You can upgrade tiers at any time and the difference is prorated. Downgrades between tiers are not supported on an active subscription - you would cancel renewal and start on the lower tier at the end of the term. Cancelling stops the next renewal; access continues to the end of the period you have paid for.

What is BYOK and how does it affect my credits?

BYOK (Bring Your Own Key) connects your own API key for OpenAI, Sarvam, DeepMind, or Anthropic. AI requests then run through your provider account rather than ours, and your analysis credits double for as long as BYOK stays active - applied to every monthly reset and to any add-on pack you buy, not once at setup. Because one credit pool powers every AI feature, the doubling covers all of them. Available on Individual Pinnacle, Team Scale, and Team Pinnacle. Adding a second provider does not stack the multiplier further.

Do credits roll over month to month?

Monthly allowances reset on the 1st and do not accumulate - they are a rate, not a balance you bank. Credits you purchase as add-on packs are different: those never expire and stay yours until spent. Your monthly allowance is always drawn down first, so a pack you paid for is never consumed while free credits remain.

How do pooled credits work across a team?

Every creator licence contributes its own monthly allocation of analysis credits and compute minutes to one shared workspace pool. A five-creator Scale workspace has 400 credits a month (80 x 5) that any seat can draw from, including free Viewer + AskEdi seats. Viewer seats consume from the pool but do not add to it.

Are there any usage-based or hidden charges?

No. There is no per-row ingestion fee, no per-query charge, no charge for people reading a dashboard, and no overage billing. What varies is whether you choose to buy an add-on pack. Queries do run against your own database or warehouse, and it bills you for those as it would for any tool - that is the trade for your data never being copied out to us. It keeps your rows where they already are, under your own access controls, and it keeps the Edilitics side of your bill fixed whatever you analyse.

What counts as a data source?

One connected database, warehouse, or uploaded file. A Postgres connection is one source; so is a CSV. Paid plans start at 25 sources on Individual Launch and 50 on Team Launch, rising to 60 and 100 at Pinnacle. Enterprise is unlimited. Deleting a source returns it to your allowance.

Does a bigger plan mean better answers?

No. Every plan uses the same deterministic SQL and shows the same evidence with every answer - the query that ran, the data quality grade, and the test behind the number. Higher tiers buy capacity, breadth, and choice: more sources, more compute, more credits, tighter refresh intervals, wider tables in a single AI request (50 columns on Launch, 100 on Scale, 200 on Pinnacle), and access to more AI providers - Launch gives you OpenAI and Sarvam, Scale adds DeepMind, Pinnacle adds Anthropic. What a tier does not buy is a more accurate answer.

How wide a table can the AI work with?

The limit is per request, not per table. Launch covers 50 columns in a single AI request, Scale 100, and Pinnacle 200. The same ceiling applies across AskEdi questions, transform suggestions, and chart suggestions - it is one rule, not a per-module one. AI column insights and dashboard Summarise are not affected, because neither takes a column selection from you. You can hold a table of any width; on a wider one you choose which columns matter for the question you are asking. Wider requests cost more to run, which is why the ceiling moves with the tier.

How often does data refresh on each plan?

Transform pipelines can run as often as every 6 hours on Individual Launch, hourly on Scale, and every 30 minutes on Pinnacle. Team plans go tighter: 3 hours, 30 minutes, and 15 minutes. Dashboards refresh more often still, down to every 5 minutes on Team Pinnacle. You can always run a pipeline or refresh a dashboard manually on any plan.

Which AI providers do I get?

Launch includes OpenAI and Sarvam. Scale adds Google DeepMind. Pinnacle adds Anthropic, for all four. Each provider is pinned to one model that we keep current, so you are never choosing between model versions. On BYOK-eligible tiers you can route any of them through your own key.

Is my data sent to an AI provider?

Accepted Answer

No raw rows are, on any plan including the free evaluation. The AI reasons on schema, column descriptions, and statistics - never the contents of your tables. This is how the system is built rather than a setting you enable, and it does not change between tiers. Three privacy modes control how much of that metadata is shared, down to replacing real column names with anonymous identifiers.

What happens to my work if I do not upgrade after the trial?

Nothing is deleted. Your connected sources, pipelines, and dashboards are preserved exactly as you left them - they simply cannot be run or refreshed until you move to a paid plan. If you upgrade later, everything is where you left it.

What does the Enterprise plan add?

Unlimited data sources and dashboards, custom compute and credit volumes, all four AI providers with BYOK, custom audit log retention, private networking, and a dedicated rollout team. It is built for regulated environments and larger organisations where the terms need negotiating rather than selecting. Pricing is agreed directly.
